But I do like to keep my home clean. Call me a cleanliness freak, but if there is even a speck of dirt on my floor, I have to clean it right then and there. I cannot stand waste or junk lying around. Go ahead find a reason and make up your mind.

Here are 5 easy steps for junk removal

  • Create a list– Now that you have decided to declutter, it’s time to create a list. My list has 2 broad columns- Recycle and Donate. And those columns are then broken down further into rows of clothes, furniture, electronic, kitchen etc. Your list may be different, but a list should always be made. If a year later, you start looking for the pair of jeans you donated, the list will help you remember. If you have a great memory and don’t need to be reminded of the junk you removed, then you surely do not need to keep the list once your junk has been cleared. But for those of you who do NOT, trust me, this is the way to go.
  • Get boxes as per the list– I like to keep my things organized, even if these are the things I am letting go. Put clothes in one box, books in another, kitchen items in yet another, and so on and so forth. If I have many clothes to spare, I might even separate them as into further categories, for instance, all tops will go in a separate box, bottoms in one, jackets in one. You can be as creative as you want to. If you live in a joint household and all of the family members decide to donate clothes together, you can even sort them size wise. Decide for yourself!
  • Begin to declutter– Once you have got the boxes, start to declutter. If I have books to give away, I start with books, else with clothes. If you are giving away bed or a cabinet which has been lying around in the store room, you may want to tag them. Most junk removal companies would just come and pick such an item as it is. They do not dismantle beds or cupboards. In any case, you need to have a good understanding of what you are donating, before calling a junk removal company in Dubai. Afterall, they need to know how much junk they will need to haul away. It will help them decide whether to come in a mini-truck or a big one.
  • Call a junk removal company– There are many junk removal companies in Dubai. But you would want to call a good one. Take Junk in Dubai is one of the best, most efficient, on time service providers in Dubai and they are the ones I always recommend to my friends. They take my junk in Dubai every single year and I have never had trouble either booking their services or when they come for junk pick up.
